For years now, space-time phenomena known as "rifts" - tears in the very fabric dividing worlds - have been opening up and drawing people into the same world from all different places and times. Over time, a culture centered around these new arrivals has developed - whether they choose to clash or coexist with their new world's natives, the fact is, this is their home now. There's no way out - so they'll need to find purpose here. To find a reason to live, no matter how strange this new world might seem.
It's easier for some than it is for others.
Tensions are on the rise, and the instability the rifts are causing aren't helping things any. It's not only people who are being brought over, anymore - entire worlds are melding together, bleeding into this one. New York has become infested with zombies - and the southwest has been transported back to the early twentieth century.
And this is only the beginning.
