Gin has a very subdued personality, she is rather introverted and quiet, but wouldn't be seen as shy by anyone who knew her well enough. She likes peace and quiet, hot tea, and has a weakness for authority figures. It doesn't take a lot to make her happy. She is intelligent but prefers to watch people converse rather than get too involved with people. Gin is a very independent person and chooses to not have a lot of friends purely because she doesn't think they will understand her habits and people who try harder than normal to befriend her seem to put her off even more. People who crave attention and apologise a lot are considered by her as the two worst kinds of people, she loses patience with them very easily and can be quite abrasive. She has an addictive personality and it's because of this that she tends to deal on the wrong side of town just to get a hit of coke or experience a latent high, she feels no shame about these activities. Gin was a pretty average child in the grand scheme of things, her powers were not obvious despite being quite powerful, so she did not receive a lot of attention for them until they began to grow advantageously. Gin’s father was a loving man, maybe a little too loving compared to the standards of other parents, but Gin adored him nonetheless and did not find his overbearing love to be an issue. Her mother on the other hand, had been a neurotic drug addict, and Gin was only four years old when her father filed for divorce and removed the woman from Gin’s life. Her school life had been average, she maintained a b-grade average throughout middle school, but starting high school had given way to some serious distractions which had led her to purposely failing some of her favourite classes just to get some extra time in with her teachers. Her father had become disappointed in her behaviour, but he was never the sort to let her know it, instead choosing to shower her in gifts for the classes she did pass. He never found out that she had been transferred into an AP biology class because her biology teacher had felt comfortable receiving her attraction toward him, and not because of a sudden appearance of interest in biology. Though, he was confused when she had been unable to keep up with the workload and failed the class. Despite her obvious flirtations with the faculty, Gin never truly struggled to make friends as her powers were often useful to the other kids. Starting university had been much of the same, though her attraction to her lecturers had become a serious problem after turning eighteen and feeling as though she had become a woman and therefore capable of handling any affectionate feelings they might have toward her. She had been reprimanded more than once by her guidance counsellor but after a few weeks of persuasion during their sessions, Gin had gotten the woman to understand just how she got her way. They had seen each other outside of campus four times before the woman quit her job and moved out of town to avoid any further relations with Gin. Gin dropped out after realising that there were hardly any prospective ‘distractions’ left, and decided to find work. She is in search of a psychiatrist at the suggestion of some of her old teachers, but her reasons are far less practical.
